Glastonbury August 2016. UK
It was a sunny day that made the colourful decorations pop. Gillian was getting ready in a hotel. Ceremony took place in Glastonbury town hall and finally reception was held into a Marquee in a gorgeous spread.
From Gillian’s email: “Thank you so much, they look amazing. Can’t stop looking at them.”
It was a great shoot. Some very lovely photographs. One that come to my mind portrays Gillian nephews and little cousins.
Just before the beginning of the ceremony. They were waiting for Gillian to arrive and for the ceremony to start. I arrived and they were there waiting. They looked at me and click. Great photo. Kids always are a great subject. They are not camera shy or maybe they do not worry about how they look.
Although sun is always a plus in the UK. Sometime the light can every harsh and likely to cast dark shadows. However if you turn it to your advantage as a result it can make colours shine and vibrate. Since nowadays many photographers proud themselves with working only with available light. Being able to work in extreme lighting conditions is a requirements of this job. Therefore sometime available light need a little help and therefore working with flash is a must. Finally an advice to young photographers: do not be afraid of using your flash.
